Leap Early Learning Partners is a Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (CCR&R) of Augusta University. CCR&R's work hand-in-hand with families, early learning professionals, and advocates to ensure that children grow and learn in safe, high quality early learning environments. In addition to our advocacy efforts, Leap provides direct services to child care programs in a 23-county service area throughout Central East Georgia.

Our diverse team has more than 600 years of collective experience in the field of early childhood. We are former owners, directors, social service managers, early learning professors, recreation therapists, teachers and more, and we share a vision for great early learning experiences for children, families, and professionals. We are thankful that we can bring our individual passions, experiences, skills, and training together to carry out that vision.

We are funded, in part, by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning through the Federal Child Care Development Block Grant.

Job Summary

The Technical Assistance Coordinator is responsible for providing technical assistance (TA) and training to childcare providers and early education programs in a designated service delivery area. The primary goal of technical assistance is program quality improvement and Quality Rated leveling.

DESIRED CANDIDATE WILL BE LOCATED IN OR AROUND DEKALB COUNTY.

Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

Technical Support - Provide technical assistance/support to ECE professionals by phone, email, and regular on-site visits to assist program in improving program quality and/or achieving Quality Rated leveling; Complete formal assessments, develop and implement a plan of improvement and maintain necessary documentation; Provide career counseling to early learning professionals interested in returning to school, as needed.

Training - Provide professional development training in accordance with state guidelines and national best practices; Upon completion of PLC training, will facilitate PLC groups in conjunction with region-wide efforts.

Recruitment - Participate in provider recruitment efforts related to Quality Rated participation and TA.

Community Engagement - In coordination with program leadership, engage community partners in region by participating in meetings and facilitating partner events.

Reports & Documents - Complete all required reports, site visit documentation forms, etc. in compliance with state and program guidelines and national best practices.

Other - Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned and necessary to meet program needs and provide high-quality services.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Sciences or related field; Must meet minimum requirements as a GA State Approved Trainer with a minimum of three years' experience working directly with groups of children B-8; Must provide copy of college transcripts; Must hold a valid driver's license and appropriate insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or related field.

Preferred Experience
Familiarity with the state of GA licensing regulations governing childcare facilities.

Experience in a child care setting; providing technical assistance/serving as a mentor; and providing adult education.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities



Strong knowledge of early childhood field. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.

SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

ABILITIES

Ability to maintain confidentiality; to forge a respectful partnership with providers; to work in a team environment with a diverse group of people and in a variety of settings; to become a GA State Approved Trainer; and to hold a valid driver's license and appropriate insurance.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days; Monday ' Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required.)

Pay Grade: 14

Salary Range: $36,197-$50,675 annually.

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
