Job Summary:
This position reports to the Payroll Manager in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and is responsible for performing a wide variety of activities in the UW Human Resources System (HRS) related to payroll, leave accounting, and benefits. This position works with departmental supervisors and managers on HRS matters for Faculty, Academic Staff, and Limited appointments (FAASLI), University Staff, Temporary Employees (TE), unclassified Student Assistants (RAs, TAs, PAs), and student hourly appointments. This position will also oversee annual payroll related activities. Working in partnership with the Payroll Manager, this position will conduct training for employees on items such as timesheets, leave, payroll deadlines and best practices. This responsibility will require the selected candidate to be aware of campus policy updates, and ensure educational materials are clear, informative, and accurate.

Responsibilities:
Provides human resources (HR) information and support to a work unit regarding more than one HR functional area to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing. Maintains personnel records and assists with work unit operational policy development.
20% Provides consultation, performs analytics, and/or maintains personnel files, communications, and materials for work unit through various mediums
30% Executes and audits work transactions and changes adhering to established policies and procedures to meet anticipated deadlines
30% Receives, responds to, and resolves employee questions and problems
10% Represents unit/program at institutional workshops, informational meetings, and training sessions
10% Contributes to the development, implementation, interpretation, and revision of work unit Human Resources policies and procedures according to institutional and legal rules and regulations
