Job Description
Tennessee State University invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant IV.
The ideal candidate will serve as administrative assistant for the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Job duties include:

Work with students and faculty in the department to process university documents for students’ graduation, faculty research, travels, scheduling of student’s appointments with faculty, preparing assistantship and work-aid contracts for students, and every other assignment that may come up that falls within the administrative assistant scope of work.





Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalency (GED) and a minimum of three years administrative experience. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written). Ability to manage multiple projects and time effectively; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; to compose a variety of memoranda or letters with only general instructions; and to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, employees, and alumni. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products as well as phone systems is required.
