Job Description
Summary
Research Technician I position urgently needed to support biobanking operations. Position will handle specimen processing and assist with building out workflows/protocols. Other responsibilities include assisting with lab orders, conducting regular inventory control, maintaining equipment and facilities, providing technical assistance, collaborating with all members of research team.
Job Duties
- Receives, accessions, and performs DNA extraction on various specimen types.
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes data.
- Processesand assists with building out workflows/protocols.
- Conductsregular inventory control.
- Maintainsequipment and facilities.
- Providestechnical assistance.
- Collaborates with all members of research team.
- Documents results of experiments.
- Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
