Minimum Requirements:

H.S Diploma or GED and one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Compliant with all local food safety health codes and required certifications.

Position Description:

The Seasonal Bartender/Server will provide exceptional customer service to all Club Members and guests of the University of Louisville Golf Club through food and beverage and special event service. This position will report directly to the Hospitality Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take customer orders, serve food and beverages, prepare itemized checks, and accept payments. 
  • Complete all daily task and cleaning schedules assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager. 
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation. 
  • Prep garnishes for drinks, stock bar, and maintain a clean work area. 
  • Check identification of customers at the bar area to ensure they meet all statutory regulations.
  • Work both private and Club events. 
  • Must have good mobility and can lift heavy objects sometimes in excess of 30 pounds. 
  • Must efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision. 
  • Promote a friendly atmosphere for all Members and guests, as well as coworkers. 
  • Ensure operations comply with all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations, relating to food and beverage sanitation, alcohol and tobacco, and ADA requirements.
  • Perform other duties as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in Culinary Science, Foodservice Systems Administration/Management, Hotel /Restaurant Management desirable.
