Qualifications:
BTECH 503, Organization and Management of Life Sciences Companies, is a 2-unit graduate-level introductory course that covers the organization and management of elite firms, with a special emphasis on life science companies. The course will take an in-depth look at the organization models used and their effectiveness. The course will also provide a theory-based study of managerial and organizational processes and explore the different challenges faced by an organization to lead and motivate the workforce.

This course is taught remotely during the 2024 Fall term on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:40 pm.

In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Organizational Behavior, Management, or a closely related field and a recent publication record in the field, OR A Master’s degree in Organizational Behavior, Management, of a closely related field and five years of current, relevant professional experience. Preference will be given to those who have previously taught the course.

This position requires all coursework to be performed in the state of California.

The salary range for this position is $4,966 - $6,672 (2 units) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
