Do you have experience of working within a laboratory environment? Do you want to be part of a technically trained team providing a proactive support service to ensure high quality research and teaching? Do you have experience of working within laboratory health and safety guidelines? 

As an Assisted Reproduction and Operations Technician within the Scientific Operations Team, you will carry out technical laboratory duties as a pivotal part of a technically trained team who provide support to a high quality research and teaching portfolio. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day provision of the research facilities within the LIGHT building in addition to comprehensive and efficient teaching laboratory support service for students within the Institute. 

This is a dual role working flexibly with both the Scientific Operations Team and providing laboratory support to practical sessions delivered by the Assisted Reproduction teaching team (both roles being 0.5FTE)

You will promote good practice within the laboratory. A proactive and logical approach to problem solving will be an essential part of your role to provide efficient and effective support. 

You will have experience of working in a biological or medical sciences based laboratory environment and evidence of practical laboratory skills and including experience of basic tissue culture (including media preparation) and microscopy. 

You will be a member of the Scientific Operations Team reporting to the Senior Scientific Operations Manager.
