**Only students who have completed this year’s FAFSA, have an approved Silver State Regents Service Program Application, and are enrolled in at least 6 eligible credits for the summer are eligible to apply**

Hiring Department: International Center

Work Hours per week: up to 19.5

Hourly Rate of Pay: $14.00 Hourly

The International Center serves as a bridge between CSN and the world in a variety of ways, from assisting our international students to creating new international opportunities for the CSN community.

We are searching for detail-oriented and motivated students for the following positions:

  • International Programs Assistant

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of the International Center, the work study will: 

  • Assist with the creation and processing of documents related to international opportunities 

  •  Complete ongoing research related to international opportunities 

  •  Remain informed of changes to the programs and offerings of the International Center 

  •  Contribute to a positive work environment by welcoming all people who visit the International Center 

  • Attend institutional events to take pictures, record videos, or live stream content 

  • Create documents, brochures, and other informational materials

Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs: Communications – Journalism/Media Studies - Marketing - English - Business - Tourism - Accounting - Education - Psychology - Arts - Theater - Political Science - Computing & Information Technology - Photography - Graphic Communication - Video Production - Global Studies - Hospitality Management - Hotel Management - Philosophy - Sociology - Anthropology - General Science - World Languages - Health Sciences

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Spanish speaking preferred. A successful applicant will demonstrate the following qualities and competencies:

  • Be able to follow directions and communicate well; have knowledge of Microsoft Office systems;

  • Be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.

No previous international experience is required.

Offer and acceptance of a Work Study Award are not a guarantee of employment. Wages under this position are paid from Work Study awards administered by the CSN Financial Aid Department. To maintain eligibility, students must

· Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar, and

· Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year, and

· Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired.

· Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.
