Job Description
Summary
The Scott Department of Urology is seeking an Intermediate level Physical Therapist specializing in pelvic floor dysfunction. Therapist should be comfortable treating various pelvic pain disorders, pre-/post-op prostatectomy, urinary incontinence, urinary urgency and frequency, constipation, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, pain with sexual intercourse and erectile dysfunction.
Job Duties
- Provides evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.
- Collaborates with other health care professionals as needed for resolution and/or achievement of identified patient specific goals.
- May specialize in care for certain complex patient types, through advanced training and education
- Participates in rounds, clinics, and case conferences.
- Monitors service delivery by support personnel.
- Documents patient progress appropriately in the medical record.
- Participates and assists in implementing new programs in area assigned.
- Delivers exceptional patient care with adherence to safety standards and guidelines to ensure optimal patient safety, customer service, and optimum patient outcomes.
- Serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff, including other Therapists, and technicians.
- Assists with collection of quality metrics and analytics.
- Assists with development of best practices and process improvement initiatives, as designated.
- May act as a clinical instructor to students, and Clinical Fellows.
- Records EPIC documentation.
- Develops exercise prescription.
- Performs connective tissue/ myofascial release techniques.
- Performs internal and external pelvic floor muscle treatment.
- Performs cupping techniques.
- Performs electric stimulation.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Two years of relevant experience.

Licensed Physical Therapist by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or eligible to practice physical therapy in the State of Texas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master\'s or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Pelvic Health Residency.
- Pelvic Rehabiliation Practitioner Certification.
