Job Description

The Min H. Kao Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) is seeking candidates for three tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant professor level with an anticipated appointment start of August 1, 2025. Brief summaries of the positions are as follows:

● Electrical Engineering (Assistant Professor): communications, radio frequency (RF) engineering, signal processing, or information theory. Exceptional candidates in related areas will also be considered. Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or similar at the time of appointment.
● Computer Science (Assistant Professor): software engineering, software systems, and programming languages. Candidates with exceptional research performance in other areas are also encouraged to apply. Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering or similar at the time of appointment.
● Cyber-Physical Systems (Assistant Professor): general cyber-physical systems (CPS) and CPS applications in power grid security and resilience. Exceptional candidates in related areas will also be considered. Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar at the time of appointment.
