Job Description
This new faculty position in Health Physics, will enhance the sustainability of Research, Teaching, and Service of the Health Physics program at ISU.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching of graduate and undergraduate courses
2. Research expanding the Health Physics Discipline’s knowledge in radiation safety and effects in humans the environment and on materials.
3. Contributing to the university and profession through leadership and service in this nationally important and strategically valuable discipline.
4. Mentoring Students and Professionals engaged in the discipline of Health Physics as they embark in research and professional efforts.
5. Contributing to the academic excellence that has defined the program for decades.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate in health physics, nuclear engineering or a related field
Demonstrated outstanding scholarly research experience and teaching interests in health physics
Preferred Qualifications
Pre-existing ties to or potential joint appointments with federal or state agencies will be positively considered
