Principal Responsibilities and Duties
Provides instructional support for the department as needed.
Orders and maintains supplies and inventory
Cleans and maintains instructional equipment and the overall instructional space.
Coordinate worktime with hourly lab assistants, and support them in their duties.
Coordinates production/preparation of materials for classes, including cutting sheet metal and casting stonesetting models.
Contacts and coordinates with internal and external vendors for equipment repair, installation, etc.
Assists with student support programs including tutoring students; may provide feedback to faculty or instructors regarding student progress.
Encourages use of support services.
Works on special academic projects.
Assists with and attends outreach events and departmental projects as needed.
May conduct workshops on professional development topics or subjects for faculty or tutors to enhance their ability to support student success.
May plan and organize learning strategies, activities, and aids to serve individual student needs; may work with faculty or instructors to implement those strategies, activities or aids.
May assist students in a labif related to the discipline; may oversee projects or productions involving activities related to the discipline; may work with students at field locations as it relates to the discipline.
May have additional, specific department duties that may be added at time of posting.
Additional Duties
Help coordinate substitute teachers as needed
Work with Instructors and Continuing Education to develop and schedule workshop
Technology
Experience using standard office software programs and the technology needed to support learning at the college is required.

Full-time faculty and staffing table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the college are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, retirement plans and AD&D.
ACC does not participate in Social Security.ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty and Administrators Only). Part-time and Hourly employees participate in the ACC Money Purchase Plan (ACCMPP) as a retirement program required by federal law.
Working Conditions
Work is routinely performed in an office/classroom/laboratory environment.
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and manage moving and setup of 300cf oxygen bottles.
Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
