Qualifications:
The Human Physiology Laboratory consists of experiments and demonstrations designed to incorporate principles of physiology. The students in the class are Health Science and Kinesiology majors.
This course will be taught in person on the Moraga campus during the 2025 Spring term on Tuesdays from 1:40 - 4:40 pm.
To ensure consistency between sections of this multi-section course, instructors will faithfully implement the syllabus, experiments, laboratory activities, assessments, and/or grading standards provided by the Lab Coordinator or Department Chair.
In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.
The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in an area of Organismal or Evolutionary Biology; and undergraduate teaching experience in an introductory biology lab course for majors focusing on organismal and evolutionary biology. Preference will be given to those who have previously taught the course (BIOL 225L) or BIOL 026.
Candidates must reside in California.
The salary range for this position is $6,207 - $8,590 (2.5 units) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
