Position Description
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Mississippi invites applications for an Instructor of Mathematics position. This is a 9-month non-tenure-track position beginning August 2025.



The successful applicant will be expected to teach four sections of developmental or general education mathematics courses per semester in fall and spring. The successful applicant will actively support student learning, follow the program curriculum and guidelines, and submit required attendance and grade reports.

Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s in Mathematics or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 hours graduate credit in Mathematics, earned no later than August 15, 2025 is required. Competitive candidates will have demonstrated teaching ability, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an energetic commitment to undergraduate education.
