Position Description
The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Texas State University invites applications for a Lecturer position in Spanish with a focus on Spanish for Health Professions, Professional Spanish, and Translation.

Nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester by semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need. The successful candidate will teach at the San Marcos campus and may teach at the Round Rock campus and/or online, depending on the need of the Department.

All positions are subject to availability of funds.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D in Spanish, Spanish Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, or a comparable field in hand by August 1st 2025
Native or near-native command of Spanish and English,
Demonstrated teaching experience in Spanish at the university level.
Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarly research, and collegial service.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Spanish for Health Professions, Professional Spanish, and Translation.
