Qualifications:
Physical Geology is an introductory course that studies the nature and distribution of earth materials, the processes by which the materials are formed and altered, and the nature and development of the earth. There is a corresponding laboratory required for students enrolled in this course (EES 110L).
The lecture will be taught on the Moraga campus in person during the 2025 Fall term on Monday & Wednesday from 9:15 - 10:30 am.
In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular virtual office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.
Candidates must have a Master's or Ph.D. preferred in a relevant area of Environmental or Earth Science discipline and a successful record of teaching experience in a related field at the undergraduate level. Preference will be given to those who have previously taught the lecture or EES 040.
Candidates must reside in California.
The salary range for this position is $7,449 - $10,308 (3 units) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
