Qualifications:
Human Anatomy focuses on the study of gross and microscopic structures of the human body. This course, emphasizing the structural relationships and functional aspects of gross anatomy, proceeds from the cell to tissues to organs. The associated lab, Biol 215L Human Anatomy Laboratory, includes 3 hours of lab per week. Laboratory is taught from dissected human material, models and microscopic slides to allow students to learn from direct experience.
The Lab will be taught on the Moraga campus in person during the 2025 Fall term on Tuesday from 1:30 - 4:30 pm.
In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular virtual office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.
To ensure consistency between sections of this multi-section course, instructors will faithfully implement the syllabus, experiments, laboratory activities, assessments, and/or grading standards provided by the Lab Coordinator or Department Chair.

The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in a relevant area of biology and undergraduate teaching experience in biology. Preference will be given to those who have taught the lab or BIOL 016, BIOL 215 (BIOL 015), or BIOL 213/213L (BIOL 013/014).
Candidates must reside in California.
The salary range for this position is $6,207.50 - $8,590 (2.5 units) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
