Athletics: Assistant Women's Tennis Coach

The Assistant Women's Tennis Coach assists with all aspects of the College's NCAA D1 Women's Tennis program, with a focus on the on and off the court coaching of individual and team practice sessions; attendance of all home and away matches; assistance with recruiting, scheduling, working within the program's budget, promoting an atmosphere of academic excellence, and ensuring compliance with NCAA, WCC and SMC rules and regulations. Development and maintenance of strong, collaborative relationships with administrators, coaches, professors and other relevant staff at the College. Duties may also include assistance with fundraising and marketing of the team on campus and in the local community.
Student-Athlete Development: Working on and off court with each individual in one-on-one and team settings; long term vision of where they want to be and day-to-day strategic planning of how to get there.
- Match Day Coaching: Prepare team to perform at maximum level in every dual match.
- Recruiting: Developing relationships with potential recruits (email/phone/text), setting up visits and conducing visits.
- Various Administrative Duties: Including but not limited to ensuring team has all necessary equipment throughout the year, scheduling and travel arrangements.
- Supporting Head coach in fundraising opportunities and activities.
- Working with fellow coaches, administrative staff and other relevant College staff and students
- Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements
- Qualifications and Experience:
Two to Five Years Experience in Women's Tennis.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple, competing tasks and priorities. Team-oriented individual with willingness to take initiative and be flexible.

Salary Description $68,640
