Job Function:

Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes. Perform duties in all areas of the program at the direction of the head coach, athletic director and/or sport supervisor.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college by date of appointment.

Preferred Education:

Master's degree from accredited university or college.

Minimum Experience:

Gymnastics coaching and/or high level competition experience.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Experience:

Three years of collegiate gymnastics coaching experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes.
Develop, in conjunction with the head coach, the planning and overseeing of practice sessions, competitive coaching situations, and overall conditioning and training of the student-athletes.
Assess and evaluate talent and recruitment of athletes in to the program, includes contact by telephone, electronic correspondence, mail, on and off campus evaluations and visits.
Make recommendations and provide assistance in regard to fundraising, program promotion, and marketing, special projects, as well as organize and operate successful camps and clinics.
Show commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Ball State University, The Mid-American Conference, and the NCAA. Demonstrate professional, cooperative, and supportive behavior.
Pass the NCAA certification examination on an annual basis and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid Certification.
Perform other duties as assigned.
