Clinical Research Technician - Rheumatology

Position Overview and Responsibilities
The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Rheumatology Center of Excellence is seeking a Clinical Technician to support our clinic and clinical research operations. Candidates should be highly organized, motivated and team-oriented.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Receipt, processing, storage, maintenance, shipping, and records management of human blood and tissue samples related to clinical care and clinical studies.
  • Ensuring equipment is clean and functioning properly.
  • Assisting in clinic and with clinical research visit procedures (vital signs, medication reconciliation, study medication inventory and dispensation, administration of questionnaires).
  • Recording and updating patient data.
  • Participating as a cross-functional clinical team member including patient registration and check-in, verifying current insurance information, and scheduling appointments.
    Minimum Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in one of the biological sciences, physics, chemistry, or related area, or equivalent years of relevant lab experience.
    Familiar with customer service as applied to the patient experience, lab techniques, computers, and databases. Good communication, attention to detail, and organization are important, along with a strong work ethic. Being a team player, friendly, and able to follow instructions is necessary.
    Preferred Qualifications
    Bilingual (English/Spanish)
    Work Hours
    Typically Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.
