Summary

Dr. Rohit Srivastava, from the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, is seeking a junior-level laboratory technician position. The technician be eager to gain hands-on experience in research setting and is highly motivated to grow professionally. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to ongoing scientific projects while developing practical skills and advancing her career. The technician will be responsible for tracking and gathering data needed for senior members of the lab to conduct their experiments, prepare for exams, for Dr. Bert OO’Malley’s CoRegen cancer grant and its approach that has the potential to treat multiple types of cancer more effectively–without toxicity, inflammation, or off-target effects.

Job Duties

  • Cleans and Organizes laboratory.
  • Assists senior lab members i.e. ( Faculty, Postdoc) in preparing their lab experiments.
  • Prepares or conducts simple lab experiments.
  • Prepares minimal clerical duties to assist in grant preparation.
  • Tracks and gathers data needed for senior members of the lab to conduct their experiments.
  • Prepares for exams.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.
