The Orvis School of Nursing (OSN) at the University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Clinical Simulation Technician. This position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Simulation. This position provides support to all nursing lab and simulation experiences for the Undergraduate Program and select experiences for the Graduate Program at the University of Nevada, Reno, Orvis School of Nursing. As a member of the simulation team, the Clinical Simulation Technician serves as both a technical specialist and educational support staff member, requiring expertise in simulation technology, clinical equipment, and adult learning environments. The position combines hands-on equipment operations, IT support, inventory management, and direct participation in healthcare education programs.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma and three (3) years of related work experience or an Associate's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience or a Bachelor’s Degree one (1) year of related work experience or a Master’s Degree. Related experience: Healthcare experience and/or IT support, customer service, inventory management, or operations or related field
Schedule or Travel Requirements
Variable work schedule
Occasional travel may be required
Additional Requirements
This position requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Heavy work requires walking or standing to a significant degree and pushing and/or pulling.
