Managing operations is critical in every organization because it is through effective and efficient utilization of resources that an organization can be successful in the long term. As efficiency barriers of time and space between organizations are breaking down, operations function must adopt a global dimension to remain competitive. The course introduces students to the operational challenges that entrepreneurs and managers face and provides a set of tools to manage business processes in a broad range of domains and industries.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Business Analytics or a closely related field and a recent publication record in the field, OR
- A Master's degree in Business Analytics or a closely related field and five years of current, relevant professional experience.
- Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience/familiarity with online/hybrid instruction in order to prepare for contingencies. This position requires all course work to be performed in the state of California. Candidates must perform all course-related work within the state of California.
Salary: $6,480 and $10,308 dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, who have previously taught the course or BUSAD 132, available here.
