Job/Position Summary
The Department of Accounting, College of Business Administration at the University of Sharjah, invites applicants for full-time faculty positions at the Assistant Professor ranks, to join the team in the academic year commencing September 2026.
Outstanding candidates from all research areas of accounting will be considered.
Major Responsibilities
Teach effectively in all areas of accounting, contribute by teaching at the undergraduate program, master's (MBA, EMBA) and DBA programs, and undertake high quality research activities.
Supervise graduate and undergraduate students’ projects and dissertations, engage in other educational scholarly and professional activities, liaise with industry, academic programs accreditation.
Contribute to program development, engage in community service, including serving the profession.
Contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs accreditation.
Skills and Qualifications
Ph.D. in Accounting from an internationally recognized/accredited University, with preference to Western Universities with undergraduate and graduate teaching record combining course work and research.
Preferred academic experience in USA, Europe, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
Excellent accounting research profiles as evidenced by Scopus indexed research with a minimum of three years full-time academic teaching experience in higher education.
Working knowledge of relevant academic programs accreditation systems.
Demonstrated contributions to academic program development.
