Summary
The Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Texas Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced Pediatric Orthopedic Sports Surgeon for our North Austin campus. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the nation's top-ranked pediatric orthopedic programs.
In addition to providing the full spectrum of pediatric orthopedic surgery care, this surgeon will also participate in call. Full participation in the education programs of the Department in coordination with the Chief of the Division of Orthopedic Surgery will also be expected. This position will be based at Texas Children's Hospital's North Austin campus.
The North Austin campus is comprised of a 52 bed, 365,000-square foot inpatient hospital and an adjacent 170,000-square foot outpatient facility offering a full suite of specialties and subspecialties. Austin presents a clear and compelling opportunity to extend Texas Children's mission to a large and growing population of children and women where there is currently a need for programmatically integrated healthcare. Texas Children's presence in Austin helps deliver regional coordination of care and is synergistic to the core services offered at our Texas Medical Center campus in Houston.
Minimum Education
- M.D.
- Successful completion of the ACGME Orthopedic Surgery Residency
- Successful completion of a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery fellowship
- Successful Completion of a Sports Medicine Fellowship
Minimum Certification/Licensure
- Board certified / Board eligible by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
