This position offers a well-rounded introduction to many of the accounting processes that serve as the foundation of a successful accounting career, including:
Bank deposits and account reconciliations
Journal entries and general ledger activity
Financial reporting and analysis
Grants receivable processing
Researching and resolving accounting questions
Supporting year-end financial activities and audits

What You'll Do
Prepare and submit financial reports and invoices.
Research, prepare, and enter journal vouchers and cost transfers in the general ledger.
Process wire transfers and returned checks.
Prepare, analyze, and distribute account reconciliations.
Maintain financial records, schedules, and supporting documentation.
Assist with grants-related accounting and receivable postings.
Interpret contracts and reporting requirements.
Research and respond to inquiries from university departments and external agencies.
Support year-end close activities, audit preparation, and special projects.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
