Responsibilities

KINES 580 is a four-day colloquium that rotates between contemporary issues in the field of kinesiology, such as women in sport, race and ethnicity in sport, improving human performance, and character development through sport. The course is graded on a pass/fail basis.

The specific focus of the colloquium is determined by the person hired to teach the course and should be in-line with Graduate Kinesiology student interests and program learning outcomes. The instructor hired is responsible for bringing a group of experts to campus to address the department's graduate students. A modest budget is given to the instructor of the course to facilitate bringing experts to campus.

Applicants should submit a 250-word abstract that details their proposed colloquium topic and its relevance to our graduate students. The abstract should also include a list of four potential experts who would be brought to campus.
