Summary

Senior Coordinator, Research Operations provides support for the Neuro-Onc & Leukemia research program. In this position the incumbent will provide support to the Geuro-Onc & Leukemia research program leads, faculty members and research laboratories. provide operational support for large industry-sponsored research projects involving 20-40 laboratory personnel. The job duties include development and monitoring of program timelines. Oversees and coordinates day-to-day liquid tumor research operations to ensure that current and long-term business goals are met. Contribute to the monitoring of fiscal activities and budgets to ensure research projects are in compliance and have met all required objectives and goals. The role will also take on special projects for coordination and facilitation of pre-award and post activities as needed.

Job Duties

  • Performs daily operational and and fiscal coordination for the Center;
  • Develops monthly fiscal dashboards and reports to track expenditures from grant funding and other funding sources;
  • Works in coordination and collaboration with pre-award and post award teams to ensure proper documentation is compiled and submitted for grant deadlines and submissions; Tracking NIH other support funding;
  • Serves as POC for coordinating and processing HR personnel related program support, such as verification of personnel funding source and submitting positions for approval through the position management process;
  • Coordinates meetings, events, seminars, and other functions.
  • Provides additional support to Principal Investigators and other project stakeholders.
  • Assists with Faculty and staff with special projects as it relates to research;
  • Is responsible for all SRM, SAP, Concur data and financial review for accurate submission to BCM Peds Finance Team;
  • Assists with data gathering for fiscal and operational planning. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Program Coordinator experience.
  • Administrative research lab experience.
