Position Description:

Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences invites applications for one course, assessment practicum. The PTL will supervise clinical psychology Ph.D. students conducting adult assessments for a range of referral questions. Assessments will primarily be comprehensive and involve the preparation of integrated reports. Students meet with the supervisor prior to and after the intake to plan the assessment; during the assessment process, the supervisor will discuss the scoring and results and interpretation, and discuss the report with students. The PTL will supervise and edit the report and discuss feedback to be given to the client and any consultation to referring agencies.

A successful candidate will need to have a Ph.D. in Psychology, license to practice psychology in Kentucky, be able to supervise clinical psychology graduate students, and have expertise in comprehensive adult assessment and integrated report writing; assessment supervision experience is preferred. The position is year-round, with a course each semester: Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Summer 2025, with the potential to continue in the position. At least some of the work can be done remotely.
