Job Description
We are looking to hire a staff member to assist our Forum and Conference Service team.
Job Description/Duties
- Open the Forum building and rooms for events, including setting up chairs and tables.
- Checking room setups and client needs before and during events.
- Make beverages and put out supplies and catering items.
- Clean and restock serving supplies.
- Provide customer service to clients, including troubleshooting AV equipment issues, completing any last-minute client requests.
- Tech support for audio visual equipment as needed by clients.
- Cleaning, sweeping, mopping back room and spills, and taking out trash/boxes after events.
- Monitoring safety and maintenance needs within the building.
- Other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Required Education:
- High School Diploma (GED)
Skills:
- Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods
- Ability to lift objects (15-50 lbs.) including using the upper body to raise objects from a lower position to a higher position
- Ability to crouch, crawl, bend, or stoop
- Ability to walk and be on feet for extended periods of time and go up and down stairs/ladder
- Ability to speak including expressing oneself or exchanging information with others
- Ability to see color, depth perception, and clarity
- Regular exposure to disagreeable conditions at time with extreme temperature changes, odors, and loud noises

Food handler’s permit must be acquired within 5 days of employment.
