We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and public relations initiatives. This role plays a key part in communicating our impact to a wide range of audiences—including prospective and current students and their families, campus partners, and the general public.

Job Function:
Oversee project management, administration, and execution of comprehensive marketing and public relations initiatives. This role plays a key part in communicating our mission and values to a wide range of audiences - including prospective and current students and their families, faculty and staff, media partners, and the general public.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, web design/development, marketing, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum Experience:
At least four years of work experience in public relations, marketing, web, publications, or media relations in a corporate or university environment.
Preferred Experience:
At least five years of work experience in public relations, marketing, web design/development or media relations including experience in web publishing skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use StarRez software to create text/images for pages within the housing portal, including but not limited to, new student housing application, University Apartment application, summer/conferences application, and returner housing application. Serve as the primary developer and approver of all StarRez communications for prospective, incoming, and current residents of University Housing.
- Produce educational and informational videos to market services, educate students and families, and promote events. Serve as the primary content creator for orientation modules and presentations, Admissions events, and housing contracting and leasing processes.
- Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns across print, web, and social media. Manage projects from concept to completion - ensuring alignments with our brand, goals, and timelines. Serve as a strategic advisor on public relations and communications to internal stakeholders. Craft compelling narratives that resonate with key audiences. Drive engagement, grow visibility, and strengthen our reputation both online and offline. Manage the Housing and Residence Life website through utilizing the Sitecore online management system to ensure accurate information, engaging content, as well as clear and concise departmental messaging.
- Collaborate regularly with key campus partners including Marketing and Communications, Cardinal Central, and Admissions/Orientation. Advise the HRL Marketing and Communications Committee which supports the marketing and communications of major events such as housing contract processes, summer conferences, student staff hiring, Admitted Student Day, Homecoming, Family Weekend, and One Ball State Day traditions.
- Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and supervision of several graduate and student staff marketing team members in Housing and residence Life. Participate in leadership team on-duty rotation. Serve on the Housing and Residence Life Leadership Team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
